Week 10: Last Blog!
Ryan T -
Hello!
We rescheduled the experiment to Friday, so I still don’t have the data. I’ll have them soon, though!
At 62 citations in JabRef (though some of them may not have been used) and 20 pages (without any of my data and analysis yet), I’m satisfied with the length of my paper.
As for the “SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Associate (CSWA)” certification, I’m nearly done with the course content (less than a few hours left). There are plenty of examples and projects included in the course which I will complete for mastery over the summer at my internship.
At my internship, I will expand upon my work here. I will be creating a “Sp3D Library” full of downloadable .stl files for teachers, librarians, or others to 3D print out to assist with teaching students. I plan to make these .stl files free to download and print out. I have been inspired by the literature I have read to narrow the gap between academia exploring the possibilities of 3D printing and 3D printing teaching aids to assist students in reality.
Thank you to Dr. Jim Egenrieder, my on-site mentor for providing a space for STEM-related exploration, Mr. Reich, my faculty advisor for checking all the math and teaching, Dr. Hausdorff, my senior project coordinator for helping make sure I’m on top of all the various tasks for my senior project, Mr. Montcalm, Calc AB teacher who has given me class time to carry out this experiment, and readers for staying tuned and being supportive throughout this internship.
