Hi everyone! This week I investigated the 3Shape scan machine. The 3Shape TRIOS 3 intraoral scanner has revolutionized digital dentistry with its speed, accuracy, and versatility. The powder-free scanner captures high-definition 3D images of patients’ oral structures in just 45 seconds for a full arch scan, providing high-quality digital impressions for various dental treatments. The TRIOS 3 is also compact, lightweight, and features a removable, autoclavable tip, making it easy to maneuver and maintain hygiene standards.
Artificial Intelligence will be a key factor in taking the performance of the 3Shape TRIOS scanner to the next level. Some of the latest advances at 3Shape include AI-driven workflows that automate many of the steps in the scanning and design process. For example, AI algorithms now automatically trim gypsum model scans, suggest models, and outline designs for full-coverage surgical guides. These AI-powered features reduce time-consuming tasks for technicians so that they can focus on more complex segments of the design. With advancements in AI technology, it can continue to improve scan accuracy, automate the detection of dental conditions, and optimize treatment planning. By streamlining workflows and improving diagnostic precision, AI integration with the 3Shape TRIOS scanner has the potential to improve efficiency at dental clinics and ultimately benefit patient care
