Hi everyone,
This week was the delegates meeting that I have been talking about since the beginning of the project. I helped my adviser prep for the meeting the day before; we collected materials from the office to bring to the venue the next day. I also helped set up the morning of. During the actual meeting, I helped facilitate an ice breaker, and I had the chance to talk to a few of the attendees as well, and it was a pleasure learning about their backgrounds in Title X. There were also many interesting presentations. One of our team members presented data that Affirm has collected so far for this year. There were guest speakers too from the Arizona Department of Health Services and they talked about STI testing, prevention, and treatment. There were were also guest speakers from the Rising Youth Theater, a theater company led by teenagers and young adults. They did a workshop on how to better engage with youth. I really liked this presentation since a lot of the delegates work with youth.
