The Ending Pose
Greetings!
Some final updates before I close out: I have decided to go with a lit review, as originally planned, for my final product. I have run into some complications in having that second group (K-pop club) readily available, since clubs are finished at school and scheduling time to teach them my combo is proving ineffective. I plan to bring these limitations up during the final presentation. As for now, due to time constraints, I’ll be focusing solely on the data I’ve already gathered from my dance studio sample and the upcoming interviews I am conducting virtually with instructors.
Moving on to progress on the final product, I have divided my lit review sources into 3 separate sections: information, experimentation, and advice. I have 4 informational sources, 5 experimentational sources, and 3 advising sources. I am about 3/4ths of the way through the paper and already have about 7-8 pages, which means the writing is moving along smoothly.
I’m still working out how exactly I’ll be presenting the final results of my surveys and interviews, and also, which background research is relevant to understand the implications of my project, since there is so much of it that can be utilized. I’m thinking I’ll take the majority answer to each question and present that, since there does appear to be a consensus for most answers as I’m looking at the data. However, some are tied, so I’ll also be bringing up that as well, including the limitation that having such a small sample size does not allow much room for statistically significant differences. I’ll then draw conclusions about how years of experience and hours of practice contribute to how fast a dance is learned and perfected.
CONCLUSION: Although this project has faced countless roadblocks and limitations, as I’m sure other have as well, I am so excited to share the results obtained, and what I’ve learned along the way. A big thank you to Mrs. Bennett, Mrs. Ungar, and Ms. Trinity, who, with their help, made this project happen and gave me confidence in pursuing such an unconventional topic. Stay tuned for the final presentation!
Signing off,
- Rhea 🙂
