Tibia and Fibula: Movie Magic

Hey guys, this week I am going to take a detour in subject matter and start on the final project side of things. Since I intend to make videos on what I will be doing over the next few weeks, I thought it would be prudent to actually get to know how to make documentary/informational style videos, and how to run/advertise a YouTube Channel. For my first practice project, I am going to make a short, probably 4-5 minute video about a crime that happened in the Phoenix valley, just as a way to reignite my skills of video editing and storyboarding, before I make stuff that will be out for students and really anyone anywhere to see. I will be utilizing OBS, that is Open Broadcasting Software, to record some things, as well as Audacity and Da Vinci Resolve to record audio and edit the final product. Once I am done with the video I will link it here in the comments of this blog if you are so inclined to watch it. It will not be the best video, I’m sure, so I’m open to feedback or suggestions. I am honestly excited but nervous to start creating digital products again after about a year of not doing anything that took me more than 20 minutes, and I hope that the video turns out well.

    Hey Nico, I think it's great that this project is helping you get interested in video creation again, and should allow you to improve a lot! I was wondering what kind of videos you have made in the past. Were they documentary style like your new ones will be, or were they something completely different? If they were a different kind of video, what is different in the video making process in order to make documentary videos instead?

    Hey Nico, good luck on making your first video! Do you have any plans to create short-form content of either this video or your documentary? Could be a good way to reach a broader audience!
