Week 9 – Building a Guide

Noah B -

During this week, I have been completing my passive income side hustles. I spent the week forming my experimental side hustles into a presentable form.

Recent Developments

At the start of this week, I have stopped posting videos on my content creation side and have stopped investing on my investment side. This is mainly because I have gathered enough information from this experience to share what it’s like to start a side hustle. I will continue these side hustles in the future, but for now, I want to make the beginning phases of a side hustle apparent to everyone. For the rest of the week, I wrote out the basics of starting a side hustle or passive income. I began my goal of creating a helpful guide for people who want to learn the very basics for a side hustle. I will continue building my guide the next week.

Challenges this week

This week did not come with many challenges. One minor challenge, however, came in deciding how I will present my guide. Since I focused on only two types of passive income strategies, I cannot truly explain more complex strategies outside of investing and content creation. To solve this, I will try to center my guide into a general thinking a person should have when evaluating passive income. I will aim my guide to focus on things like planning or time management to hopefully allow the reader to understand what it takes to start a passive income or side hustle.

Progress towards the overall project

My main goal with my senior project is to answer the question of whether starting a side hustle or passive income is a worthwhile goal. With my guide I will be able to present that answer more clearly to people interested in this topic. I can present my findings to show what I did and whether I enjoyed the process. I will continue to finish my guide in the next week.
