Week 5: creative titles are hard, how do I make a pun about statistics

Why are statistics so complicated?
We are getting to the point in the projects where I get to run through all the survey statistics. Except we still don’t have enough statistics to make any actual predictions of a larger population. This complicates matters, and I was warned that we had past issues with surveys. Other students have also had the issue of not having enough data. At this point, I need to start computing what we have, though, so I will be adding a section to both my presentation and paper about my ideal data since I won’t be able to determine anything from what I have.
Unfortunately, this is one of the limitations of my medium and resources, as there is no feasible way for me to find all of the demographics beyond knocking on every door in town. But this was still ultimately the best way to do this, as I cannot get info directly from clinics, and some even refused to allow me to put up the flyers. I did put it in several dog parks, but after several days, there was no uptick from those placements.
How am I going to calculate, compute, and analyze all of this very real data that people have given me, and I won’t be guestimating based on what little data I have, you may ask? Well, I generally will be trying to look at trends between the two areas, like exercise and all that, to see if any of those are significantly different, and then if the heart issues are. I’m doing this because by making sure all other factors are similar I will be able to better prove my hypothesis that elevation causes a difference. (if there is one shown). Given that this will be a simulation of my ideal data the rest of the paper will be going through a deep-dive of statistics. A topic that I will be asking for help in because it is, in fact, not my expertise, thankfully, We have teachers who do statistics (Thank you, Ms. Buckley).
Not a whole lot of progress this week, honestly, but hopefully we can start wrapping things up soonish, that deadline is getting scary close.
