The End of My Internship
Hey everyone! This post is going to be about finishing up my Internship, what I plan to do at Lowell in the future, and finishing up my paper and presentation for my AP class.
The last few weeks was finishing up my internship. Because Lowell finished with NAAOP (Native American Astronomy Outreach Program) my internship switched from going to the reservations to supervising children during field trips and working on lesson plans for the summer camps. I’ve really been enjoying this time. I actually really enjoyed my entire internship and am so glad I was able to do it. As well I am so grateful to Todd Gonzalez for allowing me to work with him and the other Lowell Educators. I actually plan to continue working with them this summer as a Counselor In Training during the summer camps. I am extremely excited to do this as I have been a camper in the past as well as a CIT. However, this year I am going into it with more knowledge and understanding than any year before. I also have plans to do more scientific education with my college starting in the fall. My internship has really prepared me to be able to succeed in these endeavors.
As well I have been spending a lot of time finishing my paper as well as designing, practicing, and giving my final presentations. To be honest, this was an interesting time. I actually quite enjoy writing so the initial writing of my paper wasn’t too awful. However, I find citations difficult and dreadful. That said, we preserver. I actually submitted my AP paper last Wednesday and I am pretty proud of myself. I also finished and gave my final AP presentation today. I am pretty happy with how it went! I was confident in my material, only stumbled one time, and feel pretty good about the answers I gave to questions asked. I also have my final presentation for my senior project later to day. I am optimistic and hopeful about how well my presentation will go!
