Week 10 Update

Hey everyone! This week I worked more on my final project and got more input from my PI for how to format it. It definitely feels great to finally have data that I worked hard for over the last several weeks and make a presentation out of it. I’ve been consulting the rest of my lab for help on making my presentation as well, and I have learned so much. I am definitely interested in continuing similar research in college. Overall, I should be done in the coming days.

    Hello Karthik! It has been an honor seeing your project grow throughout these past months! Last week, you mentioned that one difficulty you encountered was overexplaining slides. Do you have any tips or resources that you used to counter this? Congrats on being near the finish line!

    Thanks Vera! I would probably redo the part where I had to learn software, because the way I initially did it was very slow and there were probably better ways to approach it!

    Thanks Connor! What I mainly used to help with that difficulty was asking my lab colleagues to give feedback, and eventually I was able to use their feedback to write more concise slides that aren't too wordy.

    I hope the timing works so I can come watch your presentation. Do you hope to do very similar research in college or just the same genre of neurology research?
