An Exhibit Takes Shape: Senior Project Week 10
Hello, everyone! Welcome back to my blog!
I’m excited to share another update on the progress of my exhibit. It’s been a bit of a slower week, as we’re currently in the waiting phase while the exhibition panels are being printed and processed. Things are starting to move forward, however, as we reach the next phase. Installation starts this week!
Starting this Friday, we officially begin installing the exhibit in the museum. My advisor and I have also reserved Saturday to be an additional installation date. These installation days will be full workdays. Our current plan is to be in the museum from 10 am to 5 pm (if everything goes to plan), ensuring we have ample time to make solid progress each day. With any installation, it’s important to build in a buffer for unexpected delays or adjustments. My advisor and I have also blocked off a few additional days, April 27th, 28th, and 29th, to use as needed. We decided that the 27th, 28th, and 29th could be used for punch list days if desired. (A punch list day is a comprehensive list of outstanding tasks or items that need to be addressed or corrected before a project is considered complete). The 28th and 29th are best for last-minute work as the museum is closed to the public on those days, giving us an uninterrupted window to make last-minute adjustments without distractions.
I look forward to sharing more updates in the final blog post and as we get closer to the opening.
Thank you, and see you next week!
