Project Title: Analyzing the Diagnosis and Future Treatments of Sleep Apnea

Project Abstract

Sleep is often said to be one of, if not the most, essential aspects of a person’s life due to its relationship to both mental and physical health. However, for many, sleep is affected by diseases and conditions that lead to poor sleep quality, lower amounts of sleep, or a combination of the two. One of the most common of these conditions is Sleep Apnea. Through my in-depth analysis of Sleep Apnea, I will investigate and explain both the diagnostic process and inner workings of Sleep Apnea. Working with the doctor, staff, and patients at Pulmonary Clinics of Scottsdale will allow me to examine all the specifics of Sleep Apnea, such as different levels of sleep apnea, how it develops, how it worsens, and more. Lastly, by compiling and working through all my data, I will propose a theory to help solve a current gap in the treatment for Sleep Apnea.
