This week I took a final look into 3Shape. 3Shape, the global leader in digital dentistry, is transforming dental workflows with its groundbreaking application of artificial intelligence. The company‘s top-selling AI-powered platform, 3Shape Automate, enables dental professionals to obtain automated crown, coping, inlay/onlay, and nightguard designs within 90 seconds—dramatically accelerating turnaround times and reducing manual labor.
Not only is AI speeding up routine tasks; it‘s transforming the entire dental design process. For example, 3Shape‘s TRIOS intraoral scanners use AI to automatically remove cheek and tongue interference from scans, a task previously accomplished through time-consuming manual compensations. In the new Dental System 2024 software, 3Shape is launching free, fully integrated AI-powered crown design features, enhanced case management, and cloud-based licensing without disruption, all aimed at maximizing productivity for dental labs.
