My name is Sarah and I am a current senior at BASIS Prescott. I have always been passionate about education and the impact it can have on shaping the future of our world. However, I feel that education is often overlooked and underappreciated for the incredible role it plays in society. Education has the power to empower individuals, promote social mobility, and drive innovation and progress.
As a future teacher, I am drawn to the profession because I want to be a part of this transformative process. I want to inspire and guide students to reach their full potential and to instill in them a love for learning that will stay with them throughout their lives. I believe that education is the key to addressing some of the most pressing issues facing our world today, from inequality and injustice to environmental sustainability.
I am excited to be a part of this vital work, and I am committed to making a positive impact through education. I believe that by investing in education, we are investing in the future of our world, and I am eager to be a part of that journey.
In my senior year, I am excited to work in a second-grade classroom at a local elementary school to gain valuable teaching experience. Collaborating with the teacher will provide valuable insight into classroom management, lesson planning, and student interaction, further fueling my passion for teaching kindergarten.
This research aims to investigate and identify effective teaching strategies for early elementary students to improve their learning outcomes. The main question to be answered is: What teaching methods can be implemented to enhance learning outcomes for young students?

This sounds like an interesting project! I can’t wait to see what you will find shadowing a teacher!
Hi Sarah! I am so excited to hear about your experiences in a second grade classroom. I too agree that teaching is overlooked, and admire your passion of becoming a teacher.
