Week 11: Thank You and Farewell
Hi everyone! Welcome back to the final post of my senior project. It’s been an eye-opening experience to explore how AI is reshaping the workforce—and more importantly, to find who’s most affected by these changes.
Today, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone who made this project possible.
First off, I want to thank Ms. Camille Bennett for organizing and overseeing our senior projects, encouraging us to keep going, reminding us that challenges are a natural part of the research process, and for offering valuable advice throughout the experience.
I’m especially grateful to my faculty advisor, Dr. Thomas Carpenter, and my on-site mentor, Mr. Krystian Confeiteiro, for their expertise and insightful feedback in my research. I’ve learned so much from them throughout this process, and my work would not have been possible without their support.
I would also like to thank BASIS for giving us the unique opportunity to design and conduct our own research as high school seniors. This experience has not only introduced me to the research process, but has also strengthened my critical thinking skills, taught me how to communicate my findings to a broader audience, and given me a glimpse into the world of academia before even entering college.
And finally, I want to thank all of you—my readers—for following along each week, asking thoughtful questions, and encouraging me to dig deeper. Your engagement has meant a lot to me and has pushed me to become a better researcher.
Thanks again for reading, and I encourage you to stay alert as AI continues to shape our world in ways we’re only starting to understand.
