SRP update #5
With week 5, this marks around halfway into the senior project. The biggest obstacle in my project so far has been getting lab clearance, so with that out of the way, I do think that there are no more major obstacles to getting my research project done. I also have finally completed my curriculum course. I do have a few more trainings to get through, but I am basically done with my curriculum. The last few trainings I have to do are related to lab procedure as well as an in person lab tour to familiarize myself not only with the setting, but the plethora of equipment offered at the lab.
Dr. Glembotski, however, is out of town this Friday, so I will not be able to have my weekly lab meeting with him. As such, even though I am done with the curriculum, the earliest I will be able to start in the lab would most likely have to be next Friday, although I will try to reach out to him earlier than that. If all goes well, I might even be able to start early next week. With that being said, most of the major roadblocks to getting my project going are out of the way, and all that is left is to finally conduct research into my topic. From now on, you all will hopefully be hearing about updates relating to the content of my project rather than progress on getting into the lab.
