Post-Assessment: My Research Journey About Military Sexual Trauma
Hello everyone! As I mentioned in my last post, I have been working on my final presentation and product with my research. The process is going well so far, and I am close to finishing.
I would like to take this post to review and talk about some of the experiences I went through with this journey. I had picked the topic of military sexual trauma as I remember it left a lasting impact on me after I heard about incidents of this issue. I had hoped to discover and learn more about this problem to potentially determine what was causing the rise in occurrence of this crime.
This led me to research very deeply into many factors of the military and military sexual trauma. I learned a lot from my research as I went through each piece of data, but I also faced some hurdles in the process. Due to this issue being documented only a little, I had trouble finding several pieces of information. Despite this, I was still able to make conclusions from my data even when there was a lack thereof.
I have also taken away several skills I have acquired from researching such as finding sources of data, performing statistical analysis tests, and creating graphs to depict the data. I know that these will prove useful in future projects and works.
Lastly, as the presentation day is drawing near, I hope to present my research in an effective manner, so more people can understand the presence and rising incidence of this crime in the means of creating more awareness. I will come back one last time next week to say my final “thank you’s” and other final comments.
So, for the final time, thanks for reading, and see you next week!
