Final post

Hi everyone!
I’m excited to say that my research project has officially come to a close. This has been a challenging but incredibly rewarding journey, and I’ve learned so much—not just about EpiPen affordability and stress, but also about how to design and conduct meaningful research that can have a real-world impact.
My final paper focused on how the lack of affordable access to EpiPens affects people’s perceived mental wellness and stress levels. Through survey data from individuals across Arizona, I was able to uncover trends in insurance coverage, EpiPen usage, and emotional well-being. I found that high out-of-pocket costs often lead to delayed or skipped medication, and that this financial burden has a direct effect on anxiety and daily stress—especially for those managing severe allergies.
I want to thank everyone who took the time to read my blog posts, engage with my work, and offer support or feedback throughout this process. Thank you to everyone who attended my presentation as well! I’d also like to thank my site advisor as well as Dr. Goodwin and Ms. Bennett, who helped me through this whole process.
As I move forward, I hope to continue exploring ways to advocate for more affordable and equitable healthcare. I also hope to pursue a career in allergy medicine after college and continue learning about health equity.
Thank you!
