Conclusion

Hi everyone! I’ve come a long way since my first introduction post for this project. As I am putting the finishing touches on my final project and presentation, I’d like to start by thanking a few individuals. First off, Dr. Garcia has been an amazing guiding figure and has given me several opportunities to explore. I’ve learned how to navigate a college campus and talk to individuals much more experienced than me. Second, I’d like to thank Ms. Sandor for being another amazing guiding figure. She helped me decide which cities to study. This was an important decision that determined the success of my project. She’s also taught me how to do references and citing sources perfectly. Third, I’d like to thank Ms. Bennet for keeping me on track and always being ready to help. Initially, I was overwhelmed by the project, but I am very grateful for how she broke it down. All 3 individuals have been a great pillar of support.

As for what I’ve learned in this project. I came in with the assumption that sustainability was solely environmental based. I know now that this is not true. Sustainability can mean a lot of different things. It is whatever that extends the endurance and reduces the vulnerability of the system. This can be financial, institutional, or anything along those lines. Additionally, I have also come to know how many forces are at play in a water system, both for making a change and also for the general operations. Water is a resource that affects many things and also gets affected by many things. For making a decision, there are influencing individuals at the local, regional, state, and federal level. Water is a basic necessity of life and is an important resource to conserve.

Finally, my final presentation is on May 10. As I go through rehearsals and practice my presentation, I am excited to share what I have done. I hope to make people curious and encourage them to care more about their water systems. After taking a look at the brochure or reading the data narratives, I want people to learn a little about the power of water systems and the profound impact they have. Thank you for reading and following along on this journey!
