Conclusion/Reflection and Future Project Direction

Christopher Y -

Hello everyone,

Thank you for keeping up with my senior project throughout this 10 week program! This experience has been really eye-opening, and I got to see first hand how much work is involved in cancer research. In particular, there are so many steps necessary before entering a lab like gathering background information on the topic, gauging the significance of the topic, forming a research question, and creating the experiment.

I plan to continue my work at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix with Dr. Kim as my particular project has yet to finish characterizing the c-terminal end of Cxcr3. I recommend any curious readers to look up Dr. Kim’s previous publications and look out for new ones as the lab will be continuing its work on TNBC.

Overall, I’d really like to thank BASIS Phoenix and Ms. Bennett for their help and understanding during this project. I would also like to thank Dr. Schaffer for his mentorship. I could not have completed the project without them.

Thank you for reading this last blog post and have a nice day!
