Week 12 – Conclusion
Yuvan S -
This project shows how drones can be used to make 3D structures. I am hoping to see this applied in a variety of applications. Here are some thoughts.
Shelters: Drones could quickly prop up shelters if the sides of the drones were covered. Larger cubes could combine together in disaster-stricken areas, and build temporary fortifications to stop floods or provide a place for people to take shelter.
Scaffold: Drones can be used to create temporary scaffolds, allowing people or even vehicles to access areas in difficult terrain during floods or landslides with temporary bridges. It could even help construction workers access areas or spend less time building scaffolding.
The battery sharing on the side contacts of the drones could allow for drones to stay longer in the air, similar to aircraft refueling, allowing these drones to be helpful in any sector where drones are currently used. It could expand the current scope where drones are being used in. I am hoping I can keep continuing this project in college and expand the scope, and eventually make a company around it. The biggest problem is funding, but I hope college can help alleviate that.
Finally, I am super happy to have had this opportunity to work on this project. Thank you to my college counselors (Ms.Conley and Mrs.Kakkar), Mr.Kwit, and BASIS Peoria!
I will be presenting my project in Room 109 on May 9th at 12 pm. Show up if you can. You can see the physical model then, and have a better visual representation of how this project looks.
