Progress
I have begun writing my research paper and making the presentation. It is made up of the same stuff that I have talked about in the past blog posts. So far, I am almost done explaining the data analysis. I finished rewriting my methodology to account for the changes I made. After data analysis, I need to talk about future research and limitations not discussed previously in the paper. Since I rewrote the methodology for the paper, I also had to redo it for the presentation. I have done this and also started making presentation slides for the data analysis. My presentation should end up at around 30 slides long.
Furthermore, in the last week, I’ve watched much of Gordon Ramsay’s show Kitchen Nightmares. While I am not a cook in any way, I did understand the main things needed to start a restaurant: good service, good food, and humility. While the issue was mostly the food, it was also the fact that the chefs refused to believe their cooking was bad. This reflects heavily on the idea of being a human: the arrogance we carry. While being confident in our abilities is important, it is also important to accept that we could improve instead of moving blame onto someone else. Sometimes, just taking accountability and being humble about what we do can change us from amateurs to professionals. We often see that the people who decide to embrace humility and accountability win in Gordan Ramsey’s other contests, such as MasterChef.
