Format of my analysis

Last week, I finished watching the final two movies on my list: He Went That Way and Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman. The first movie is based on the serial killer Larry Lee Ranes. In my last blog post, I decided whether to write my synthesis movie-by-movie or pattern-by-pattern. Both have their pros and cons. However, after watching He Went That Way, I have decided to write my synthesis movie-by-movie. Compared to the other films I watched, He Went That Way is different because they mask people’s names with fake ones. Larry Lee Ranes is replaced with Bobby Falls while the animal trainer Dave Pitts is replaced with Jim Goodwin. Because of this unique nature, I have decided that movie-by-movie might be easier for analysis. Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman also helped with this decision. While the movie is about Aileen Wuornos, it has some fictionalized elements. I will still be using the data however, it will be easier to analyze it as a movie as a whole instead of splitting it up.
On my data table, I have been writing justification for why I consider the film to have the pattern. In addition, I have also decided to keep ~ in addition to X and blanks. ~ will be explained in my analysis of the unique situation of the films.
My table will have the x-axis being the trait and the y-axis being the film title. The intersection will be in one of three states: x which shows that the film has the trait, ~ which means that it sort of has the trait but isn’t that strong, and empty means that the trait doesn’t exist in the film.
