Almost to the Finish Line!
In the past week, I have finished writing my research paper and making my presentation. So far, I have had one peer review, and I am focusing on strengthening the data analysis and fleshing out my methodology. I hope to reflect this in my presentation in the next few days. Afterwards, I hope to get another peer review so I can make it all even better. Other than that, nothing much has happened concerning research.
I have also watched all of the show Invincible. The show is really good in the idea that it represents moral beliefs in a sense. We see Mark (the main character) constantly in a moral dilemma where everyone wants to kill, but he believes people should just be locked up in prison. However, at the same time, Mark believes that if someone is evil, they can never redeem themselves. Regardless of how many times this has been proven wrong, Mark only believes this. Furthermore, Mark also forgave his father (who almost killed Mark and also killed multiple humans) for everything and accepted that he could be an ally. The irony is very obvious and introduces questions into Mark’s moral ideology. Additionally, towards the end of season 3, Mark decides that he will begin killing to keep his family and Earth as a whole safe. Why did it take this long to decide this? As Powerplex (a low-level villain) said, Invincible (Mark) is responsible for all the deaths because he doesn’t kill. If he did, villains wouldn’t be threatening the world continuously.
