More Progress
In the past week, I’ve finished nearly all of my research paper and the presentation. Currently, I only have to finish up my works cited for my research paper and finish my conclusion slide and works cited slide for my presentation. After doing so, I hope to get my research paper peer-reviewed so I can reflect any changes made onto my presentation as soon as possible.
In the next week, I hope to have all this done so I can be prepared for when I need to present. To do this, I plan to finish everything up by tomorrow, send the paper to a peer for a review by the next day, hopefully receive my feedback the day after, and then finish everything before the next blog post. Currently, areas in my paper that could use some improvement are the literature review and my data analysis. I feel the literature review could be more flushed out, but I am not sure why. The data analysis seems right, but I believe it can be improved on in some way. I am just not sure how.
Other than that, I recently watched the Life of Pi. I find the symbolism of the mother, chef, and sailor with animals to be a cool way to show the story. Additionally, the fact that Richard Parker (the tiger) is Pi himself, but only his primal side. The way that the actual Pi and the tiger contrast makes that clear: Pi only eats vegetables, while Richard Parker is a carnivore. Even when they arrive on the mystical island, Pi only eats vegetables, while Richard Parker eats the animals present.
