3/20 – The Other Half of Spring Break
Sarah W -
There wasn’t much going on the past seven days because we were still on Spring Break, but I did things on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
On Monday, I learned a lot about excel in a meeting. We learned how to organize the data as well as summarize it by creating a table. I think the biggest thing to take away was to make a copy of the original and edit that because if you make a mistake, you can still go back.Β
I also had another weekly check-in meeting, but there was nothing much to note about it.
On Tuesday I finally finished the survey and it is almost ready to go out. The only thing we have to do is wait for the IRB to be approved. We already sent the email addresses and the email format to one of my external advisors, so when the IRB gets approved, they will send them out for real.
Here is the email Kei and I created together (but don’t click on the link):
Dear recent participant of the Stop the Bleed Training Program,

It is an integral part of the BASIS Senior Project experience, offering seniors the opportunity to conduct a research project during their final semester of school. More details about the project can be found in the attached Informed Consent document.
The deadline for completing the survey is one week from today.
If you have any questions regarding the survey or our research project, please feel free to reach out to us at research@nahealth.com.
