Chapter 11: Creeping to a Close

Adeline B -

Hi everyone!

I can’t believe that we’re almost to the end. This week, I finished up my AP Research slides for my presentation on the 28th. I also attended last week’s Senior Project Workshop, where we were given more details regarding the presentations on May 3rd. I’ll be presenting at 9:00am, if any of you would like to see that. 🙂

Since then, I’ve pretty much been writing and revising my paper. It’s been super interesting to revisit my Literature Review, which contains most of my sources and research on the women’s healthcare portion of my topic, now that I’ve become so much more familiar with the story and have found so many connections between The Yellow Wallpaper and women’s mistreatment in healthcare. Honestly, I think it’s been sort of crazy to have had so many weeks of my life recently revolve entirely around some random short story from 130 years ago. It really brings into perspective how each of our senior projects are so specialized and how cool it is that we’ve all become so knowledgeable on our unique topics. Editing and finishing my paper as that deadline approaches has really shown me how far my project has come since October when it was just a concept.

Thank you all for following along, and I’ll see you next week to wrap up!

Hi Addy! Love the name of this blog, very clever. I'm wondering with your project almost being finished, what are some of the biggest obstacles you've had to overcome? Can't wait to see your presentation!

Hi Jennah! I think the biggest obstacle that I overcame was probably time management. In all honesty, not going to class every day feels quite strange, and it's hard to maintain a consistent schedule of working when you're away from the designated 50-minute class periods.
